snow project (burried)

took a quick trip up to a snow spot near mt. rose. as of sunday, reno and most of tahoe had no snow to play with.

started off with a skeleton crafted out of random dead branches and twigs, as it sits it is probably 2 and half feet tall and 1 and half wide.
really liked the relationship between the material and its intended representation.

now we bury him.

a lot harder than i thought it would be.

not the shape i had in my head but imagination and realization are at times on the opposite sides of the spectrum.

if nobody messed with it, it should be completely burried with the snow that came through today.
it has its own little space in the world, hidden from the world above.
 its probably better that way.

snow project

snow project idea-

the last snow day i noticed people playing in the snow around my apartment complex, the strange thing is they were playing in the designated dog spot. Pretty gross, i thought when i saw a snow angel a little later. this lead me to the thought of how great snow really is at covering and "purifying". This then lead me to the thought of Pompeii, a city completely covered and isolated from the rest of the world in a very small amount of time. i want to sculpt skeletons out of sticks and branches and then cover them in snow, making a big snowball that when melted will reveil a couple of skeletons embracing.

flyer project

two objectives I created for myself-

create humor and stay away from present day topics.

I went to stores that had flyers posted in their windows and asked if they would post my flyer. Starbucks and The Melting Pot both said yes. I was not around to document those store putting up the flyer.

The LOST poster worked out nicely with the timing of Valentine's Day.

The adult store has lost that lovin' feelin'

It was fun using the voice of the old man to be sarcastic and grumpy.
